Terms of service

These terms apply to everyone who uses inbox0. We wrote them in plain words. By using inbox0, you agree to them.

Who we are

inbox0 is run from Waversesteenweg 136, 2500 Lier, Belgium, VAT BE1010.281.922 (“we”). “You” is the company that uses inbox0, and the people it invites.

Your account

  • inbox0 is for people and businesses. For now, new accounts are let in from the waiting list. You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You log in with a code or link we send by email. Keep your email account safe: whoever can read it, can log in.
  • The person who creates a project is its admin and decides who joins, which mailboxes are connected and who sees which inbox.
  • You only connect mailboxes you are allowed to connect. In a team, you tell the people in your company that their work email is handled in inbox0.

Plans and payments

  • The plans and prices are on our pricing page. The Free plan is for personal use. Team and Business are priced per user, excluding VAT: you pay for every person in your project.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Yearly plans cost 10 times the monthly price. When you add people during a period, you pay for them from that day.
  • You can cancel at any time: your plan keeps running until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund periods that have started, except where the law requires it.
  • When you move to a smaller plan, nothing is deleted. You just can’t add more than the plan allows.
  • We may change our prices. You hear it at least 30 days ahead, and the new price starts at your next period.

AI credits

  • Every AI feature uses credits from one pool per project, shared by its team. One credit is a fixed number of tokens (the words the AI reads and writes), rounded up, and at least 1 per use.
  • The Free plan gets 100 credits to start, every paid account 1,000 free credits. You can buy more in packs, paid once.
  • Credits expire 1 year after they were added, are non-refundable and can’t be exchanged for money. The oldest are used first.
  • When a project has no credits left, the AI features stop until credits are added. Automatic AI work is skipped, never run on credit.

Your data

  • Your emails and everything you create in inbox0 are yours. We only use them to run inbox0 for you, as our privacy policy explains.
  • For the emails in your mailboxes we act as your processor: we follow your instructions, keep the data confidential and secure, only use the subprocessors in our privacy policy, help you answer requests from the people concerned, and delete the data when you leave. These terms are our data processing agreement.
  • You can export your data at any time. When you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, and from our backups within 30 more days.

Fair use

Don’t use inbox0 to send spam or unlawful content, to break into other systems, or to slow inbox0 down for others. Don’t resell inbox0 without our written agreement. If you do, we may suspend your account: we tell you first, unless it is urgent.

Third-party tools

inbox0 works with Gmail and the tools you connect through plugins and automations. Those tools are run by others under their own terms. We do our best to keep the connections working, but we are not responsible when another tool changes or is unavailable.

Availability and support

We work hard to keep inbox0 available and fast, and we announce planned maintenance ahead. Support is by our contact form and by email, on working days. We answer within one working day.

Responsibility

  • We deliver inbox0 with care, but we can’t promise it is free of errors. AI suggestions and drafts can be wrong: read them before you send.
  • Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. We are not liable for indirect damage, like lost profit or lost data, except in case of fraud or gross negligence.

Ending

You can stop at any time by closing your project in the settings. We may end the service with at least 3 months’ notice, and you get a refund for a period you paid for but can’t use.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; important changes are announced at least 30 days ahead. Belgian law applies, and the courts of Antwerp are competent.
